The MAS UTD Studio Final Showcase at EPFL marked the conclusion of a semester filled with critical thinking, debates, and collaboration. Three counter-projects had been developed by the students for the Great Geneva transborder region of the Chablais.
Throughout the semester, the involvement of local associations, public authorities, practitioners, academics, and experts deeply connected to the Chablais, along with invited guests from fields such as activism, education, spatial planning, circular economy, and silviculture, greatly enriched the discussions. Their contributions offered invaluable insights into how these projects could shape local policy and inform long-term planning strategies.
We were honored to have the presence of Matthias Armengaud, Architect and Director of AWP / Guest Professor at ENSA Paris-Versailles, Andréa Finger-Stich, Environmental Expert and PhD in Forestry and Environmental Sciences, and the ACPAT Association (Association for Consultation and Proposals on Urban Planning and Transport) (https://acpat.e-monsite.com) represented by Grégoire Berthon. The guests were joined by members of the MAS Team from ETH—Milica Topalović, Nancy Couling, and Alice Clarke—and from EPFL—Paola Viganò, Tommaso Pietropolli, and Loan Laurent.
We look forward to seeing these students continue their journey at ETH, carrying with them the insights from the MAS UTD Studio to support their academic and professional growth.
